Dual Loop control is achieved by using the two outputs from one VR9500 Revolution controller hardware unit. The drive output and the aux (COLA) output are both used to drive different shakers. The same profile drives both shakers.

  • Sine: Same profile; adjustable phase angle between the two outputs, +/- 360 degrees
  • Random: Matched phase between the two outputs, auto controlled
  • Transient/Shock: Matched phase between the two outputs, auto controlled

Multi Loop control is typically used for multiple shakers controlling one test item in a single axis - usually the Z (up/down) axis. One VR9500 Revolution controller hardware unit is required for each control loop. Each controller's drive output drives a separate shaker. 2 loops, 3 loops and 4 loops can be individually controlled. The same profile, or different profiles (of the same type: Random, Shock, or FDR) can be set for each loop. Phase of output drive is synchronized between outputs for Shock and FDR.

  • Random: Control 2, 3, or 4 output drive loops simultaneously
  • Transient/Shock: Control 2, 3, or 4 output drive loops simultaneously, output phase is synchronized
  • FDR: Control 2, 3, or 4 output drive loops simultaneously, output phase is synchronized
  • Sine: One master controller is used with the drive signal T'd off for the other controllers. Use multiple input accelerometers for Sine averaging, max, min, or extremal control.

Each controller drive output drives a separate shaker. 2 loops and 3 loops can be individually controlled. The same profile, or different profiles (of the same type: Sine, Random, Shock, or FDR) can be set for each loop. Phase of output drive files is synchronized between outputs for Shock and FDR.
