Technical Support Professional
Vibration Research Corporation is seeking a full time technical support professional who is motivated by the opportunity to apply their talents and grow professionally. Primary responsibilities include assisting with technical issues from our support services department.
Our support services team works at our headquarters located in Jenison, Michigan. Ideal candidates for this position will have an associate's degree in Information Technology or related technical field, and have experience working in a customer service environment. Responsibilities
- Respond to technical support requests (telephone, email, face-to-face)
- Assist customers with new installations
- Act as an advocate for the customer and effectively communicate feedback to and from our engineering team in a very clear and concise method.
- Assist in verifying reported software bugs and log them into our bug tracking database.
- Document solutions to assist with knowledge transfer, and develop best-practice procedures
- Solve technical issues using remote management tools and best-practice procedures
- Assist with a variety of technical projects as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic network configuration
- Experience with Microsoft products
- A 2 or 4-year engineering/technical degree, related work, or military experience
